Responsive Module // YCN Brief - Feel Good Drinks

http://www.ycn.org/awards/ycn-student-awards/2012-2013/briefs/the-feel-good-drinks-company#.UJuDyakUUy4

Why have you chosen that particular brief?

I have chosen the feel good drinks brief because I am becoming more and more interested in packaging design and I really want to try having a go at food/drink packaging design, the brief is also light-hearted which helped my decision.

What do you want to get out of it?

I want to have a chance to design for a well known brand, gain recognition and experience and possibly get paid!

What do you want to do/make?

I want to redesign some packaging for feel good drinks - make it more noticeable and appealing/eye catching.

Why do you want to enter it?

I really admire good food/drink packaging design and would be happy to win.
There is quite a lot of freedom with the brief, you are given a logo and typeface but you are allowed to change them.
It also says you're allowed to be cheeky... which is great :)

What's the problem?

Current packaging design is quite modest and goes unnoticed
Only 2 out of 5 people in their target market are aware of feel good

What is it asking you to do about it?

Evolve the design, make it less modest and more eye catching and cheeky.

What is it trying to achieve?

To have a rebranded product and welcome in more customers
Make people happy/satisfied with product as then they will return.
Generate more money.
